CRISPR services

As a professional biotechnology company in CRISPR editing field, BrainVTA could offer a range of gene editing services, which is including but not limiting to gene knockout, gene knock-in, transcriptional activation, site-directed mutation. Such genome editing services can offer researchers the comprehensive workflows, from experimental design, to cell line development and validation.

sgRNA Design and Validation Service

BrainVTA provide customized sgRNA design and optimization services based on our clients' needs. These well-designed sgRNAs will be fully
screened and validated in conjunction with our advanced analytical techniques to ensure delivery of sgRNAs with optimal editing efficiency for
our customers.

SgRNA Screening Method Advantage Disadvantage
Molecular Cloning Services No plasmid required, short cycle In vitro screening does not reflect the real state of the genome.
T7 endonuclease I assay Closer to the real reaction Cell is needed

Gene Knockout and/or Gene Knock-in

BrainVTA provide based saCas9 (3.2kb) and spCas9 (4.1kb) Gene Knockout and/or Gene Knock-in, from sgRNA design, screen, clone and package service. Please let us know your detail needs, our most experienced experts will work with you to generate a custom plan and product that best fits your needs.

Transcription activation/inhibition

BrainVTA offer based dCas9(dead Cas9) transcription activation/inhibition, from sgRNA design, screen, clone and package service. dCas9 binds either the transcriptional activator VPR/VP64 or the transcriptional repressor KRAB, to achieve gene over-expression or knock-down, used for gene function study and target gene screening.

Single Point Mutations

Our most experienced experts have established mature single point mutations platform, including design, clone, and AAV/LV/AdV based single point mutations delivery vector package and Cell Line Generation. If you have any needs, please contact us.If you would like your custom vector packaged into viral particles or establish a cell line, please specify when you request a quote. CRISPR Services FAQs

  • 1. Does gene knockout can achieve specific knockout?

Sure, cas9 protein expression can be paired with specific promoters and serotypes to enhance the specificity of targeted cells.

  • 2.Does gene knockout guarantee in vivo efficiency?

In vivo knockout efficiency is not guaranteed. As self-repair, base deletion/insertion or frame shift mutations may occur, so you need screen the samples.
